Transportation

to

Cape Girardeau, MO

The closest major airport to Cape Girardeau is Lambert-St. Louis International (STL).  Lambert is a hub for American Airlines, and flights are available on all major US airlines.  Next closest is Memphis International Airport.

It is approximately 125 miles from the St. Louis airport to Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, and about 175 miles from Memphis.  Either way, travel is almost entirely on interstate highway 55.

A shuttle service is provided by BART Transportation for $60 dollars one way.  However, be aware that there are sometimes long waits for service.  In any case, if you do use BART, you need to make a reservation at least three days before your arrival.

For many participants, it may be most practical to rent a car in St. Louis and drive down to Cape Girardeau; that way you have a car when you get to Cape Girardeau, which is an advantage.   It's an easy and scenic drive.
